The Project Manager – Engine Support is responsible for providing Financial Analysis support to the Engine Program Budgets and coordinating the exemption documentation for, Test Vehicles & Engines. The responsibility encompasses programs such as new engines, aftertreatment systems, and advanced technologies developed for future powertrains. The overarching goal is to ensure compliance with government regulations and analysis of program financial performance to support the Engine Programs Senior Program Manager and provide data to the internal Finance organization.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Corporate Compliance to coordinate the issue of exemption certificates for Kenworth and Peterbilt test vehicles and PACCAR MX engines

  • Maintain open and clear communication among all stakeholders including PACCAR divisions, key suppliers, and development partners

  • Assist the Engine Programs Program Managers in resolving, communicating, and prioritizing program issues in a timely manner

  • Create, track, and communicate Engine Programs schedules, deliverables and budgets

  • Provide input for the month end and annual budgeting and forecasting cycles

    Required Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required

  • Excellent MS Office software skills including Excel, Project, Word and Powerpoint required

  • Sound business judgment and critical thinking skills required

  • Able to communicate effectively across functions, as well as up and down the leadership chain

  • Strong understanding of Powertrain Systems Development from simulation through production implementation preferred

  • Strong professional network within PACCAR and with PACCAR Suppliers preferred

  • Six Sigma certification preferred

  • Knowledge of common diesel engine parts and systems preferred

  • Candidate must be willing to travel up to 25%
