To help us achieve our goals, we are seeking a Design Manager to lead the team responsible for our Mailchimp email editor—the cornerstone of the Mailchimp experience. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a team of designers to create the tools that empower our customers to expand their audiences and connect with them through personalized campaigns that drive high engagement.
This is an opportunity to steward and evolve one of the most importantsurfaces at Mailchimp. We’re hoping to find someone who can cast a bold vision for the future of email creation in the age of AI, and is excited to push the bar for quality and execution on their teams. A great design leader for this role will skillfully balance design strategy, thought leadership, and people leadership—but won’t shy away from getting into the weeds and get their hands dirty when necessary.
What you'll bring
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Product Design,Human-Computer Interaction, or related field● 6+ years of experience in product design● 2+ years of experience managing designers and leading high-impact teams● Work examples that demonstrate your strong product and interaction design craft, process, and track record leading teams to high-impact results
● Industry experience delivering for customers at scale, leveraging andextending durable platform capabilities while you innovate with speed
●Substantial experience working on complex produts that support technical workflows, such as editing tools, advanced marketing tools, or apps for creators●Bonus points: You are an A.I. self starter and experience heavily in the space.

How you will lead
● Manage, lead, coach, and hire a group of world-class designers of all experience levels, planning for design resourcing needs across your triad.● Deeply understand your customers and their biggest problems and pain points.● Clearly define the design vision for the future of email creation, creating clarity for all stakeholders through your ability to simplify the complex and communicate visually with a compelling story.● Setting a high bar for design quality, advocating for clean, elegant and usable design that our customers love. Provide guidance and feedback to designers E2E, enabling others to deliver quality experiences that push the bar at scale,developing champions for best-in-class design.● Ensure alignment across product managers, engineering, design, and stakeholders to deliver engineering-ready designs● Communicate strategy & designs effectively to leaders, partners, and customersto push for innovation & evoke a call to action● Constantly experiment and learn to refine both strategy and delivery, partnering with Design Research to make customer insights actionable.● Leverage design patterns for emerging technology like Gen-AI and help set new standards that elevate and evolve Intuit’s design systems and practices.
● Contribute to technical capabilities that scale across the business, and enable us to deliver E2E experiences based on reusable components.
