Google Senior Imaging Software Engineer in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.

  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

  • Experience with Image Processing and Cameras, and one of the following languages: C++, Python, or MATLAB

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

  • Experience in camera imaging algorithm development, image processing, computer vision, and/or computational photography development.

  • Experience developing calibration solutions (e.g., hardware, software, integration) for imaging systems.

  • Knowledge of statistics, spreadsheet programs (ability to perform complex functions), JMP, or Minitab. Mechanical/harddware/software problem solving skills.

Using multi-camera systems and light fields, we are creating a photography experience. You will help direct a team of scientists and engineers to research, build, and deploy camera features that will excite users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Utilize autocalibration for multi-camera systems and multi-camera transitions.

  • Tune and train imaging algorithms. Build quality evaluation and reporting systems.

  • Analyze calibrations across factory, prototype, software, and end user experience.

  • Manage image pipeline validation.

  • Utilize sensor defect autocalibration.
