Position Summary
Reporting to the Drilling & Grouting Project Manager, the Drilling & Grouting Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day construction activities for the drilling & grouting program. Working with the Project Management team, they are responsible for the implementation and execution of project design methodologies in order to meet project performance and cost requirements. They are responsible for organizing, delegating, and supervising production, maintenance, safety, and manpower for the cost-effective and efficient execution of the work.
Required Skills
The Drilling & Grouting Superintendent will exercise discretion over and be responsible for the following day-to-day duties:
Safe execution of the work;
Planning, selection, and allocation of the labor force;
Allocation and maintenance of equipment resources;
Coordination of subcontractors;
Materials coordination and management;
Coordination with QA/QC teams;
Oversight of all drilling & grouting-related field operations.
Required Experience
Minimum requirements:
Experience in directing field operations for drilling and grouting of dam foundations and experience with drilling grouting equipment.
Minimum of 15 years experience in a supervisory role on dam grouting projects
Minimum of 7 years experience as a Drilling/Grouting Superintendent on previous successfully completed grouting projects
Comprehensive computer skills (MS Word & Excel)
Excellent English language communication skills, both written and oral
Able to safely and freely access and work in all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments (heat/cold; rain/snow).
