Location:Mt. Vernon, Washington
Compensation:$22.00-$24.00 per hour
Schedule:Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week

The Role:
As aPeer Recovery Specialistmuch of your time will be spent in the field assisting patients as they start recovery, representing Ideal Option at community meetings, attending events, conducting outreach, and building awareness. Additional responsibilities include:
Performs outreach and education to eligible individuals
Performs individual patient screening to determine needs and resources and eligibility for services as needed
Tracks and enters demographic and related information for care coordination
Complete weekly and monthly reporting as needed
Facilitates ongoing coordination of follow-up care to treatment and recovery support services (e.g., transportation, housing, employment, in-patient facilities, detox, mental health and/or chemical dependency assessments, primary care, food and clothing resources)
Develops community partner relationships
Attends trainings and meetings as required
Complies with national Protected Health Information laws (including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2).
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Ouridealcandidate:
Will be a certified community health worker or peer specialist.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of self-attested recovery from a substance use or mental health disorder as well as 2 years of abstinence from illicit drugs and alcohol.
1 year of working in community health or addiction treatment.
Ability to self-manage.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and adapt to individual needs.
Ability to communicate effectively within the organization and community agency members.
Problem solving and decision-making skills.
High degree of accuracy and detail orientation in data entry.
