We are looking for an Employee Relations/Labor Relations Manager to support the German Employee Relations Team.

Your Role: Manager Employee Relations/ Labor Relations

Employee engagement is at the heart of everything we do. We care about our employees so that they can care about our customers. You will have Ownership for ensuring that fair, consistent and transparent employee relations processes are applied at the sites, making them a great place to work. Amazon respects the right of our employees to establish and join works councils, choosing and engaging in constructive negotiations. You will be providing guidance to senior leadership teams when developing or implementing programs and projects to foster a positive and engaging relationship. You support Amazon organization with strategic and operational advice in terms of trade unions. You will also partner with PR for all labor relations related external communication, works with Ops Internal Comms for internal communication and engage with other teams, such as Public Policy.

Business Area: Operations

Your role can be in one or multiple of Amazon’s business areas, but would be focused on Operations as a starting point. All of Amazon's business areas work with full customer obsession. A day in the life

The day-to-day working life of an ER Manager will be ever changing. One day, you will be on-site supporting the local Leadership Team, may it be during a period of change, a period of works council elections, while trade union activities are ongoing or other. The next day, you will be supporting projects relevant for all sites of the business line(s) you are supporting and work with colleagues from the EU ER Team which support your line of business in other countries. You will be embedded in a fun-to-work with team and as such also get your share in reaching our team goals and work on DE-wide projects covering all lines of business.

Basic Qualifications

• The successful candidate will be progressive, hands-on and customer-obsessed with the credibility and capability to succeed in a fast moving and customer-focused commercial environment.

• Have some years of relevant HR/ER experience in Germany, the Netherlands and/or Austria (working with works councils and/or unions), ideally within a high volume, fast-paced and customer focused environment

• Problem solving and analytical capability; experience of managing ambiguity and analyzing HR metrics to find root causes and develop short, medium and long-term plans

• Have the ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels including hourly paid, shop floor employees

• Have emotional intelligence and a proven hands-on attitude, be flexible and adaptable

• Strong change management, communication, negotiation and influencing skills

• Have fun and love what you do

• Fluent in German and English, Dutch language skills will be plus.

• Ideally law degree and/or MBA
