Microsoft Corporation Senior Data Security Technical Specialist (Global Black Belt) in Multiple Locations, South Korea

The Data Security team acts as trusted advisors and expertise in securing the data of the worlds largest organisations. We work with customers to leverage security to help them achieve their business priorities and help guide customers’ journey through AI + Data transformation. We also support customers in evaluating their business requirements and understand their journey to implementing AI to improve their business performance, We can then recommend solutions that meet their requirements, and demonstrate these solutions to win the business and technical decision. 

The Global Black Belt is a thought leader who works to bridge the gap between the customer and our engineering and other internal stakeholders. We provide high level technical and commercial support to our enterprise sales organization. They lead and develop their market to drive solution opportunity revenue and market share by leveraging the Microsoft Purview solutions to meet their customers journey into digital and AI transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution- Leads a virtual cross-organizational team on strategic projects and high impact solution sales deployments that enable digital transformation and deliver business value. Is responsible to develop strategies for identifying, driving, tracking, and closing opportunities. Engages C-Suite decision makers to support teams on opportunity discovery and acceleration, and represents their team internally at Microsoft as they engage other internal stakeholders.

  • Scaling and Collaboration- Builds a network of new and existing partners to cross-sell and up-sell and coaches their team to learn about and apply the orchestration model.

  • Technical Expertise- Supports engineering and leadership by bringing business and market knowledge and leads internal collaboration to achieve the outcomes. Acts as the spokesman for Microsoft at external events and participates in Microsoft events.

  • Sales Excellence- Explores business and emerging opportunities to optimize the portfolio and facilitate customer innovation to drive growth by leveraging technology, industry and partner expertise. Builds new market by leveraging deep technology expertise and resources. Drives integrated strategic planning to exceed targets.

  • Discusses progress against plan in rhythm of business (ROB) meetings (e.g., Quarterly Business Connect [QBC], Virtual Solutions Unit [VSU]) and aligns the plans of their team across departments.

  • Delivers Results - Drives the execution of projects by identifying customer and operational needs, setting priorities, removing barriers and obstacles, and allocating resources.

  • Commit to Opportunity and Workload Management- Follows management guidelines and requirements on all reporting and tracking of activity and sales opportunities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ year’s experience in sales / presales/business development or technical led consultancy in a large scale platform environment.

  • Global/International experience to working within multicultural diverse and remote teams.

  • Must be fluent in Korean language

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, CISSP or equivalent work experience preferred .

  • Certification in sales, complex sales training, sales methodologies, broad evangelism through events (presentation skills), and consultative selling preferred

Optional:

Professional

  • Account Management. Proven record of effective account management: planning, engagement qualification and creation, stakeholder, and executive communication, needs analysis, value engineering, services/partner engagement, opportunity management, pipeline management, large dollar licensing and deal negotiation. Discover new opportunities and expand consumption in named accounts to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual consumption targets.

  • Executive Presence. Leadership and confidence required to challenge customer status quo. Demonstrated experience and expertise selling to senior business decision makers by aligning & reinforcing the value of the solution to the customer’s overall business pain and/or strategic opportunities and decision criteria.

  • Collaborative. Ability to orchestrate and influence virtual teams to pursue sales opportunities and lead v-teams through influence. Develop and execute a territory sales and success plan, in partnership with Infra and DATA & AI Specialists, Customer Engineers, to reach and educate new developers, support pre-sales opportunities, and engage solution partners in your accounts.

  • Coaching. Training internal field sales teams, customers and partners in data security frameworks, particularly in the protection of data with AI transformation.

  • Trusted advisor. Deep understanding of key competitive technologies and/or specific industries. The ability to articulate the advantages of Microsoft technologies to C-Level and senior business decision makers. Execute a solution sales process that adds value to customers through commercial teaching to win the business and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.

Technical

  • Technical passion. Passion for and experience with Data Security for AI, in cloud, architecture designs and technology management. preferred

  • Understanding of Data Security & AI technologies preferred

  • Competitive landscape . Knowledge of data security platforms. preferred
