Microsoft Corporation Realize Value Research & Metrics Technical Program Manager in Multiple Locations, United States

The CTO (Chief Technology Office) organization within the Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Customer Solution Areas (CSA) accelerates revenue by removing technical blockers and providing sellers with proven, repeatable solutions across Microsoft’s Customer Engagement Methodology (MCEM). Bring your passion and expertise to Microsoft CSA CTO Realize Value Catalog Management team and help our customers transform their business through AI innovation. We are hiring for a Realize Value Research & Metrics Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the CSA CTO Catalog Management Team. In this role you will be responsible for running analytical projects that include leveraging market insights as well as sales and other transactional data to inform business decisions and gain a thorough understanding of our programmatic impact.

The scope of work entails developing and managing a customer journey data model that supports customer next best action opportunity recommendations to sales teams for solution opportunities across customer segments. You will work closely with analytics teams within the company to understand how available data can help shape a standardized approach for navigating solutions across professional services delivery engines. In addition, you will closely partner with Business and Technical Architects to determine how available data can help create journey pathways that take into consideration market trends, customer profiles, and corporate strategy.

As the connector between vision, theory, and production, you will help frame the solution with key stakeholders, develop the data and analytical business requirements and work closely with data scientist stakeholders to create a customer journey engine.

By leveraging expertise in data science and predicative Machine Learning (ML) data modeling, you will have an opportunity to hone leadership skills, to gain exposure to corporate leaders and business strategy, and to have an immediate high visibility impact within the organization that helps empower our sales teams with more targeted customer recommendations that result in higher value impact.

Responsibilities

  • Primary business stakeholder to an adjacent Data Science & Business Insights team within CommercialSolution Areas for all owned analytics and data requirements.

  • Define customer journey engine data model requirements, inclusive of ML and AI considerations, to assistwith the output for a series of next best recommendations to sellers.

  • Work closely with Realize Value Business and Technical Architects as well as the Catalog ManagementEngineering & Technical Execution Lead to integrate the journey modeling into the Realize Value Catalog.

  • Develop applicable key performance indicators (KPIs), in coordination with our organizationalobjectives and key results (OKRs), and establish the business requirements for performance telemetry of that inform how we measure and report impact of Realize Value (RV) Catalog and for metrics to quantify successful implementation of the RV Customer Journeys

  • Provide oversight of a prioritized backlog for quantitative intelligence and analytics needs for the business.

  • Define analytics business requirements for collection of qualitative research and insights that help shapehow we work to define success for the business.

  • Support Realize Value reporting and analytics requirements monthly and quarterly governance checkpointswith Go-to-Market (GTM) and Delivery Engine leadership.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Graduate master’s degree in Math/Stats/Engineering/MBA (or a comparable combination of education and experience).

  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • Prior experience with business analytics, strategic market research, machine learning capabilities, gathering/analyzing business data with a lens of making improvement recommendations.

  • Understanding of various data systems (SQL, etc), plus Excel-based and PowerBI analysis contributing to the ability to create automated business reports.

  • Hands-on experience creating data models from multiple sources using, preferably using the star schema methodology.

  • Understanding of Microsoft internal sales data systems and sales programs, Microsoft Cloud technologies and products, and organizational units within Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions.

  • Self-starter who takes initiative and deals with ambiguity by effectively prioritizing and executing.

  • Demonstrates clear leadership experience of working with and influencing large/diverse teams.

  • Attention to detail, highly organized, with an absolute focus on quality of work.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
