The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

Digitalization Business Analyst Director - India

This resource specification is for a Business Analyst that would work in the Finance Shared Services (FSS), which is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of programs. The Business Analyst would act as the point person between Finance, Operations, Reference Data and the Technology teams during all phases of the program management life cycle:

1) Initiation phase 2) Requirement & analysis phase 3) Design and build phase 4) Testing phase 5) Implementation phase 6) Training and Support

Key responsibilities will include:

• Participate in business analysis activities to gather requirements. • Translate business requirements into specifications to deliver automated solutions using MS Access, VBA, Python, SQL and Digital Tool (Alteryx, UiPath, Tableau and power BI) solutions across different finance functions. • Design and develop tactical and/or strategic solutions in line with FSS automation book of work. • Unit testing components to ensure deliverables meet acceptable quality metrics. • Provide user testing (UAT) support and results analysis for both ongoing automation programs and scheduled automation asset releases. • Managing the postproduction support for automated assets. • Responsible for the data validation process including management of change requests, updates to rule logic and release management. • Help Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance existing automated assets. • Acting as bridge between IT and Business, ensuring IT deliverables reflect business needs. Provide technical assistance and cross training to team members and business teams. • Providing periodic demos to business owners on digital technologies and innovation to raise awareness. • Responsible for defining & maintaining efficient communication procedure with senior management and Technology teams and Business Stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of relevant experiences as Digital Tool Developer working on projects for the Finance department of an investment bank / financial services company. • Experience in business analysis and project delivery within an Agile project framework. • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills are required to perform data quality gap analysis, root cause issue analysis, and data reconciliations. • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. • Excellent soft skills with experience working across groups • Exposure and some project experience on Regulatory Reporting can be an added advantage.

Systems:

• Expertise in MS Access • Expertise in VBA • Expertise in SQL • Expertise in Python • Expertise in Data Analytics tools like Alteryx (Alteryx Designer Core Certification is a plus) • MS Office skills • Experience with Testing & Quality Management systems is a plus. • Knowledge in Tableau, Power BI and Power Apps is a plus.
