Abbott Manager Procurement in Mumbai, India
JOB SUMMARY
Fully responsible for the uninterrupted supply of ingredients (raw) materials needed to support the India operations. Execute global, regional and local supply strategies ensuring alignment with division purchasing at all times. Establish material standards and budgets for planning purposes and measure actual financial performance (PPV) in conjunction with division requirements. Actively manage supply base, develop and execute risk management programs and establish cost reduction targets annually to drive continuous gross margin improvements.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply continuity – uninterrupted source of supply of ingredients.
Know-how of key food ingredients under Agricultural Category (Sugar, Malto, Oils etc.)
Owner of DPO & M&P Management for ANSC India Procurement.
Support in Cost reduction / gross margin improvements.
Alignment of India region with division purchasing strategies.
Manage supply risk for all manufacturing locations of AN.
Managing purchasing operations in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures.
Supplier relationship and development through SRM program
Excellent communications and integration with division procurement strategies and objectives.
Driving Procurement Analytics with Third party supporting the Sourcing Strategy formation and closure of action items.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
Education Level
Major/Field of Study
Bachelors Degree
Engineering, Science strongly preferred
MBA with a focus on Business, Operations, or Finance.
Preferred certification by Institute of Supply Management (ISM) and/or The Association for Operations Management (APICS) or Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience
Minimum 04-08 of relevant Exp
Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritional’s.
Total combined in operations, supply chain management including, but not limited to purchasing, planning, inventory control, finance, logistics or other related fields. Must possess skills in analysis, problem-solving, planning, goal setting, motivation, human relations, leadership, diplomacy, written and oral communications.
