Position: Product Manager - Mechanical Yale

Position Summary
The position will be responsible for driving new product development Mechanical Hardware for Yale & ASSA ABLOY in the SAARC region. This would require gathering market intelligence, product benchmarking with competitors and ensuring a pipeline of new products to cater to the market needs across different segments and sales channels.
Roles and Responsibilities
Understand customer needs through structured process of VOC (Voice of customer) – Internal and External customers
Product benchmarking against competition
Manage product lifecycle and prepare product roadmap for new products for next 3 years
Collaborate with different functions – Sales, Marketing & Sourcing to ensure timely launch of new products
Improve margins in the product category through product differentiation and price management
Periodically assess the sales performance of SKUs and plan necessary improvement action plan
Impart product training to Sales and Service team
Skills Required
Technical and Solution oriented approach is must
Good commercial acumen
Risk taking ability
Strong leadership skills, ability to convince the stakeholders
Ability to prioritize tasks based on business requirements
Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Good interpersonal and negotiation skills to build effective working relationships with stake holders
Qualification Criteria
Engineering background is a must.
Added advantage for MBA from a good B school
Relevant experience of at least 8 years
