Product Marketing is responsible for maintaining Nielsen’s unwavering authority as the global leader in audience measurement by placing the client’s voice at the very core of our messaging. This role reports to the VP, Product Marketing and plays a critical role in supporting the development and execution of Product Marketing strategies, messaging and content to support the commercial go to market and strategy of the business. This role will have a team of Product Marketing Managers that will support the development of narratives and develop sales enablement materials.

This role will collaborate closely with other parts of the Marketing organization as well as wider Nielsen stakeholders to determine our priorities and deliver on solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a team of product marketers who will develop narratives, including clear segment specific value propositions and differentiation to our competitors to position Nielsen’s products and solutions as leaders in their field

  • Develop and keep a team of Product Managers accountable to staying on top of product development, roadmaps, and feature releases while maintaining a strong understand of how the product works to deliver on client business needs

  • Coordinate the development of client-facing marketing materials to enable commercial teams to confidently represent solutions and overcome barriers to sale. This includes, but is not limited to the development of sales one sheets, presentations, talking points and product pages on Nielsen.com

  • Drive the development of buyer persona creation and client segmentation to inform messaging strategy

  • Support the development and maintenance of materials necessary for client events, speaking engagements and campaigns and events

  • Create operational excellence around the maintenance of competitive intelligence and Nielsen’s differentiators, keeping Marketing, Commercial and Product teams up to speed on the latest news, product developments, positioning and partnerships

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Go-to-Market Marketing team, Communications, Integrated Marketing, and Partnerships & Events to support the creation and execution of an integrated marketing plan that directly supports commercial priorities

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience in Product Marketing or Marketing

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field

  • Fundamental knowledge of Product Marketing and a good understanding of related marketing functions

  • A proactive, goal-oriented team leader able to work independently and collectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Confident communicator with exceptional attention to detail, along with the proven ability to consistently make sound judgments and an ability to address business and technical audiences

  • Organization skills, able to create & maintain project plans

  • Strong strategic and analytical skills that can be applied to interpret business priorities and develop marketing and commercial materials

  • Excellent organization, project management and problem solving skills

  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner

  • Strong relationship skills capable of developing, maintaining and growing internal and external strategic relationships across partners and functions
