ABOUT THE ROLE

Gracenote, a Nielsen company, is looking for a Senior Product Manager to focus on our Gracenote View web application development and growth strategy. Our View web app is the portal for the world’s largest streaming and media providers, video discovery platforms, and advertising companies to interact and work with Gracenote data. Candidates for the position will have a first hand view into the growth of streaming and media globally.

In this role, the individual will collaborate with talented teams from Engineering, Content, and Sales organizations, as well as Product Managers from other verticals. Together, we help develop, deliver and maintain the next generation of Gracenote products through customer collaboration, business intelligence, market trends. This position reports to the VP of Product Management, Video.

ROLE DETAILS

  • Clearly define and evolve the web application product roadmap based on insightful analysis of customer needs, competitors, market trends and opportunities

  • Execute against holistic product requirements and detailed workflows to minimize changes once development is underway

  • Develop and define metrics that clearly communicates the success of products and features, and identify product improvement opportunities

  • Ensure Sales and Customer Experience teams are trained and set up for success on new features and services, participating in the Sales process as required

  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to translate product features into customer value propositions; define messaging, create go-to-market plans for key segments

  • Drive cross-functional and executive buy-in and approval for new, growth-oriented initiatives

  • Effectively collaborate across Product, Engineering, Content, Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher. Computer Science/Engineering major or demonstrable experience working with engineering teams. Comfortable with XML, JSON, SQL, and APIs

  • 5+ years of experience in product management. Strong preference for candidates with experience in web application development, media technologies, content management, or workflow automation tools

  • Experience working in a distributed Agile/Scrum work environment writing user stories, and following the development process through user story acceptance

  • Proven experience managing products across the lifecycle from concept to launch

  • Strong track record of using data and analytics to drive product decision making, improvements, and stakeholder alignment
