POSITION SUMMARY The CNC Machine Operator utilizes CNC Machines to produce parts. The CNC Machine Operator II loads parts in the machines, cycles machines, detect malfunctions in machines, makes minor adjustments, and performs tooling changes. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Set-up and operate tools and machinery in accordance with operating procedures and safety protocolsPerform tool changes and minor adjustmentOperates one or more machines during a shiftProperly load and unload parts in CNC machinesInspect parts using a variety of tools, including calipers and gaugesFollow computer instructions and quality guidelinesFollow all safety procedures and practicesMeet production ratesOperate equipment and produce parts in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalentTwo years-experience running CNC machineExperience with tool changesAbility to use micrometers and calipersExperience making minor adjustments to the machining programAbility to operate more than one machine during a shift when necessaryMust be able to read and comprehend work instructionsMust be able to perform basic math calculationsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screenAbility to pass a background investigation, including but not limited to nationwide criminal record search, and other relevant background information deemed necessary by RSI PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS Prior work experience in an ISO 9001 certified facilityExperience with programmingExperience with Swiss type machining PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lift up to 25 lb frequently, up to 40 lb rarelyPush and pull up to 25 pounds occasionallyStand/walk for the duration of 10-hour work shiftsKneel, bend, crouch, reach and stretch frequentlyFine manipulation frequentlyGross manipulation frequentlyAble to read and follow computer instructions and imagesClearly see fine details while inspecting parts, tools, and gaugesHear alerts and alarms emitted by machines WORK ENVIRONMENT >Climate-controlled shop TRAVEL This position may require travel up to 5% of the time POSITION TYPE This is a full time hourly position RELOCATION Relocation expenses are not provided HIRING PREFERENCE Veteran Hiring & Native American Preferences will be applied in accordance with RSI policy.
