Location: DaySpring Assisted Living and Independent Living Apartments, DayBreak in Norton Shores, Agape Home & Agape Home at Blueberry Fields in Fruitport Township Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour Schedule: Day Shift, Evening Shift, On-Call Rotation for After-Hours Emergencies Benefits: Weekly pay, Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k) with Matching, Paid Time Off, Referral Program

We're looking for a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant who is dedicated, skilled, and ready to support our mission: Serving Older Adults with God's Love. This is a key role within our organization, ensuring our facilities are safe, clean, and inviting for the older adults we serve. What You'll Do: As a Maintenance Assistant for DaySpring Services, your work will directly impact on the quality of life for our residents. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and well-maintained, creating an environment where our residents feel at home. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and maintenance tasks to keep everything running smoothly.

``` - Painting: Ability to prep and paint the walls of facilities well. - Room Turnover: Freshen up rooms with painting, carpet cleaning and any needed task. Assist in transporting provided furniture to and from storage. - Floor Care: effectively use appropriate equipment to clean carpets and floors to effectively maintain flooring. (Occasional scheduled evenings to deep clean flooring and carpets) - Lawn & Landscape Maintenance: Keep our grounds pristine with tasks like mowing, weeding, spreading mulch, and seasonal clean-ups. - Snow Removal & De-Icing: Ensure walkways are safe for residents and staff during winter months. - Power Equipment Maintenance: Maintain lawnmowers, snow blowers, and other preventative maintenance and minor tune-ups. - After-Hours Emergencies: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies, ensuring a quick response when needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Maintenance Skills: Familiarity with painting, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, cleaning floors and general repairs.
- Heart for Service: A genuine desire to help others, especially older adults, in a compassionate, faith-driven environment
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the Facilities Coordinator and other team members.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively while maintaining a high standard.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license to travel between facilities as needed.
