Summary The incumbent serves as the Administrative Support Assistant (GS-0303), to the Caregiver Support Program (CSP) at a VISN 19 facility. The position is located under the guidance of the, Caregiver Support Program and under the supervision of the Caregiver Support Program Manager. The Caregiver Support Program is part of Social Work Service. Responsibilities Primary Duties: Program Support Assistant will serve as the point of contact for the Caregiver Program and provide vital administrative program information to the Caregiver/Veteran, VA approved Providers and VA Staff. Scheduling resource training. Communicates extensively with with the Veteran/Caregiver enrolled in the program. He/she supports all administrative functions for the Caregiver Support Program. Develop and maintain financial spreadsheets. Assists in the preparation of all program reports and assists in tracking internal reviews. Provides a complete range of program support which includes customer service and coordination; data analysis and graphing. Manages multiple competing priorities and manages other administrative duties at the discretion of the Caregiver Support Program Coordinators. Works efficiently under stressful situations. Must be able to prioritize. Timekeeping Handles conflict and problems in dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately. Work Schedule: Full Time, Mon-Fri 8:00AM-4:30PM Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework, generally 1 or two days per pay period. However, telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process. Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 06/24/2024. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants who have the 1 year of appropriate specialized experience, as indicated in the table, are not required by this standard to have general experience, education above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements.. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
