Position Summary

We are searching for someone to join our flock who is engaging and authentic. Someone who will prioritize connecting with our guests and elevating their experience with technical product education. Someone who understands the relationship between our guests and our brand and continues to strengthen the legacy built by Franz Witte in the Treasure Valley and beyond.

We work in a fast-paced environment, so we require our team to be excellent communicators. Having basic skills in English (Spanish or other languages is a plus). Someone who values establishing supportive and productive relationships with all team members. They also much be problem solvers. Through listening intentionally, they will make informed decisions that are unique to every guest interaction.

Our grounds are diverse and expansive. Within our four seasons, 20-acre Garden Center we are consisting of 3 parts: nursery, greenhouse and gift shop. Our nursery, comprising the majority of our grounds, is full of a wide range of products including large trees, shrubs and colorful perennials and annuals. We pride ourselves on the unique variety of houseplants living in our greenhouse. And our gift shop transforms to mimic the season all year long. Our product assortment that is continually changing, so we need our team members to be adaptable and agile. Frequently learning new material but then confidently applying that knowledge when educating our guests. They are responsible and self-motivated. Utilizing the tools and resources made available to them to ensure they are prepared on the floor to answer all questions accurately and timely.

As a Retail Operations employee of the Garden Center, you need to be willing and able to help in all aspects of the Garden Center. Including but not limited to:

• Greeting and educating all guests in accordance with our company protocol

• Experience with, or willingness to learn, operating equipment

• Participation in delivery and plant installations throughout the Treasure Valley

• Willingness to work on and at off-site locations

• Completing transactions through the register

• Watering and general care of all plants both in the greenhouse and outside yard

• Cleaning and merchandising the floor and yard

• Able and willing to life up to 50lbs and load guests’ vehicles

• Working in the elements (including excessive heat/extreme cold weather)

• Standing and walking 8+ hours a day
