A Day in the Life
The Global Operations and Supply Chain Value stream is accountable for the plan, build and run activities for all applications from the Global Operations and Supply Chain stakeholders. The Global IT Deliver team is part of the Global Operations and Supply Chain value stream and is accountable for the Warehousing, Transportation, Dangerous Goods and Trade Compliance systems.
We are seeking a senior-level experienced Senior IT Technical Analyst to join our team with a primary focus on design and configuration of our Warehousing, Transportation, Dangerous Goods and Trade Compliance applications, mainly focused on SAP ECC, modules LE and WM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP configuration and writing design specifications for development and integrations and has experience with communicating with business and IT stakeholders on project status on a global level.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Consulting with business stakeholders to understand and evaluate current business processes and turning those into system requirements.
Writing system functional specifications and support development teams during implementation phase with testing and quality documentation.
Deploy new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner.
Configure system settings, plan, and execute unit, system and integration tests and lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems enhancements for SAP ECC, mainly focused on SAP LE - WM
Stay current with industry trends on customs, trade compliance and emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the company's IT and business processes.
Road Map:
Medtronic is moving to S4 to improvise the operation from our current WMS landscape to new solution that exists in the market like decentralized EWM from SAP or other 3rd Party WMS application.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
8+ years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst, IT Technical Analyst, SAP consultant or SAP implementation project member with a preferred focus on warehousing and distribution.
In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and terminology related to distribution, transportation, and trade compliance.
Solid business process knowledge and experience in SAP ECC Sales and Distribution, Order Fulfilment , Logistics Execution and Warehouse Management functions.
Solid experience in SAP Customization (SPRO): Logistics Execution (Order to Cash), Inventory Management and Warehouse Management.
Solid knowledge in Inter/Intra-company process and 3rd Party Purchase via EDI(Interfaces).
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate EDI systems and processes with internal/external systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency.
Understanding of IT change processes and/or SAP solution delivery processes.
General understanding of supply chain processes.
Excellent communication in English as well as collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with global cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Minimum 8 years of relevant or adjacent experience required.
Experience with full cycle SAP implementation projects.
Experience through facilitating small to large groups through challenging discussions
Other Comments or Requirements:
Some level of travel may be required to support project requirements
Some out of hours work will be required, including attending virtual meetings in different time zones
Nice to Haves
SAP Certifications on LE, WM or other SAP systems.
Experience with SAP GTS
Experience with SAP S4HANA implementations
Experience with global SAP implementation projects.
Experience with the Medical Technology sector preferred.
Experience in SAP Solution Manager tool/Rev Trac and processes for change documentation and the related transport processes
