About Our Opportunity

As an Outbound Logistics Analyst | Transportation Specialty at Chervon NA, you will play a critical role in optimizing our outbound logistics operations. You will be responsible for analyzing and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our transportation, distribution, and customer service experience processes. Your insights and recommendations will directly impact our ability to deliver products to customers to the highest standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing and forecasting the overall transportation needs of the business.

  • Work closely with 3PLs to ensure complete execution from order receipt to delivery.

  • Deeply understand and make informed decisions regarding all modes of transportation including truckload, LTL, intermodal, and parcel.

  • Analyze and monitor transportation spend monthly, quarterly, and annually to actively seek cost reductions and control spend. 

  • Support 3PL in conducting annual transportation RFPs, including carrier vetting, selection, and award process.

  • Remain informed on industry trends and market developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, supply chain optimization, and innovation in procurement strategies.

  • Establish and deliver performance goals and conduct quarterly business reviews with carriers.

  • Build and maintain relationships with 3PL providers and outside carrier partners.

  • Support all transportation related issues and work with stakeholders to identify and drive resolution.

  • Review and audit carrier invoices and work to dispute unwarranted or inaccurate charges.

  • Manage the disposition process and work with business partners on claims processing and recovery.

  • Fully understand customer routing guides and work with 3PLs to ensure customer compliance.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance our supply chain and deliver operational excellence. 

  • Engage in Transportation and Logistics related projects and other duties as assigned.

    Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and vendors.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Ability to communicate using data and presenting actionable solutions.

  • Experience shipping HAZMAT is a plus.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position does not have supervisory responsibility.      

    Travel

    This position may require approximately 5-10% domestic travel.

    Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience required.

  • Proven experience in outbound logistics, transportation management, warehouse management or supply chain analysis.

  • Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Oracle Modules.
