Overview
Responsible for maximizing sales of fine wine brands represented by the company on and off premise to retail customers in an assigned territory by direct contact and prospecting new accounts. Execute sales plans and special promotions towards the achievement of predetermined sales goals. Service customers with special product deliveries on short notices and other customer sales needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Promote and demonstrate fine wine and spirits knowledge within a set geographic region to increase sales among high profile restaurants and retail accounts
Make regular sales calls to designated accounts to cultivate customer relations and satisfaction with service provided
Partner with multiple sales divisions in the accounts to increase wine and spirits sales and act as a liaison with customers regarding selections and placements
Participate in sales meetings and on-site training to remain educated in company policy and industry trends/developments
Educate account staff through preparation and performance of on-site training for restaurant and retail trade
Create, coordinate, and attend on-site promotional functions at established customer accounts. (i.e., winemaker dinners, product launches, and tastings)
Perform other work related duties and special projects as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Five years of industry related sales experience within the distribution, hospitality, or supplier community
Must be at least 21 years of age
Physical Demands
Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to the rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
May require frequent lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45lbs
