These are just some of the qualities that help ensure that DSPs provide high-quality care while nurturing a respectful and empowering environment for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Getting Started: If you possess these skills, all you will need is training! Just to get you started, your first week will consist of Relias Training which is an online learning platform designed for organizations like The PLUS Company to ensure that staff meet regulatory requirements and stay up to date with the industry's best practices. Once you have completed the Relias Training, you will then be scheduled for Safety Care which is a Crisis Intervention Training course designed to provide you with skills needed for prevention, minimization, and management of behaviors from minor to challenging. All of this is followed up with CPR and First Aid certification.
Specific details of this Position The schedule is Monday through Friday 3:00pm - 8:00pm. This is a group of home of four men. You will assist with dinner preparation and providing personal care when preparing them to turn in for the night. These guys enjoy good conversation, sports and good company!
