Job Summary and Qualifications

Business Analyst will define/document Business Requirements that a technical team can take to create a robust technical design. This will be accomplished by meeting with key stakeholders on the business and IT side. This position acts as a liaison between business and IT. Understands what business needs in business terms and then translates that into language that the IT team understands so they can build the requested deliverable. This position needs to understand how the requested deliverable may or may not impact other applications or downstream systems. By nature of the BI audience, this position regularly interfaces with Senior Executives as they are many times the ones asking for the enhancement.

In this role you will:

  • Responsible for organizing administrative contracting activities into manageable work efforts for team members and determine an effective approach to completing those tasks.

  • Requirements prep and review between IT technical leads and Client Manager or Operations lead and helps define project requirements by identifying milestones and phases.

  • Document requirements Prep, Review, and Final sign off.

  • Assist Client/Operations Managers in tracking progress for each request or enhancement.

  • Draft requirement agreements for Client sign off.

  • Create templates for testing, etl mapping and business requirements, to be placed in central repository to be used by IT and Client/Operations Managers.

  • Draft Tracking template for Client Managers to keep track of Client requests with IT teams to be used in status meetings.

  • Review requirements and request work, and testing and get sign off from Client Managers

  • Work as a go between for IT and Client in understanding the requirements signed off on.

  • Create Central Repository for Client Tracking to include all templates, requirements, and testing results.

  • Work with Report requesters and IT to gather the report requirements.

  • Act as a liaison between Client/Ops and IT report writer for successful completion of report request.

  • Draft communications between IT and Client/Ops Manager or Client.

  • Coach team members to clarify tasks and assignments, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Proactively identify and manage risks and issues.

  • Manage and communicate clear project scope and motivate team members.

  • Prepare and/or ensure high quality, professional deliverables as required by each project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or related degree) required.

  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.

  • Minimum 3 years Information Technology and /or Business Intelligence experience including database, reporting, ETL, analytical experience

  • Should show increasingly challenging projects in business with a proven delivery track record

  • Experience leading projects and working with multiple departments/service lines is required

  • Prefer to have experience with Database platforms, ETL tools, and BI Reporting Solutions.
