Job Summary and Qualifications

The Case Management Virtual Onboarding (CMVO) Director of Education is primarily responsible for the assessment, planning, coordination, and direction of the virtual onboarding education development programs to support the CM organization. Working in a variety of mediums, this position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and delivery of comprehensive onboarding education programs. The CMVO Director of Education will remain abreast of the education needs of the new hire onboarding, to include new systems, tools, and process training by working closely with the Hospital Case Management (HCM) Education Director. In conjunction with the AVP Education, the CMVO Education Director will ensure that the education strategy evolves with the education needs of the CM team. The CMVO Director of Education should possess strategic vision, excellent communication skills, proven motivational capabilities, have an executive presence, and a demonstrated track record of delivering results and attaining goals in a virtual setting.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Executes the annual CMVO education strategies.

  • Prioritizes CMVO education projects based upon the needs of the business and in accordance and alignment with company strategy.

  • Works collaboratively with the CM Education team to develop education standards.

  • Develops, shares, and leverages best practices, standard templates and tools across the education team.

  • Develops and implements CMVO website strategy.

  • Leads the CMVO communication plans related to cohort implementations.

  • Develops the operating model for the education process to include intake requests, governance prioritization and approvals, course review and sign-off, as well as course tracking and student statistics.

  • Manages the administrative work for the CMVO cohorts including but not limited to: tracking the cohort members and attendance, setting up the classes in HealthStream, managing the Jane assessments, scheduling the WebEx classes, maintaining the cohort chats in WebEx Teams, contacting and scheduling guest speakers, and maintaining and editing the CMVO curriculum.

  • Manages the CMVO education materials ensuring they are updated and developed using a consistent, efficient process and that the final deliverables meet the agreed-upon performance metrics for adoption, knowledge and proficiency attainment, and skill sustainment.

  • Teaches the curriculum CMVO program including all core content, RN and SW specific courses, conducting one on ones with the learners as well as helping the learners navigate the technology and applications.

  • Develops a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

  • Communicates timely and effectively in a matrix environment.

  • Works with AVP CM and HCM Education Director to adjust education strategy to respond to changing business needs.

  • Works independently with minimal guidance. Acts as a mentor and supports colleagues.

  • Escalates issues to AVP Education as necessary.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in with professional experience required

  • 5+ years of experience in Education Team Management Experience preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in Education development processes (ADDIE), instructional design, adult education theory, and various modes of education delivery, especially e-Learning and distance education required.

  • 5+ years of experience in managing, designing, and developing online instructional design preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in and knowledge of the e-learning toolset including Articulate Storyline and Captivate preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in LMS (Learning Management System) administration, such as HealthStream preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in of Atlas administration and HTML editing tools preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in education facilitation skills, including virtual delivery, live instructor-led delivery, and e-Learning / recorded media preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in Experience in healthcare operations and Case Management preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in Excellent executive level interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a highly matrix environment is a must required

  • 5+ years of experience in Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal required

  • Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required

  • Occasional Travel: The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis.
