Global Sourcing Manager, Global Procurement Organization (GPO) MHE Aftersales

We are seeking a leader with procurement experience to strategically source products and services for our Global Customer Fulfillment Procurement and our Material Handling Equipment Category dedicated to our Amazon Logistics organization. The person in this role will coordinate with several teams across Amazon and will interact with our most important suppliers to satisfy organizational requirements. The person in this position will work and partner with multiple teams to develop and execute category sourcing strategies, deliver savings and improve productivity across the category.
Key job responsibilities
•Establish category sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts to optimize Amazon’s competitive position
•Drive appropriate relationships with category suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving the optimal solution and cost of ownership that meets the business’ goals supported by a culture of continuous improvement with performance benchmarks in use
•Manage category suppliers to proactively identify, monitor and optimize opportunities
•Act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories; anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed
•Drive category suppliers in Supplier Relationship Management activities to mitigate risk, improve performance and add value to Amazon
•Identify, achieve and report on savings and value targets for category sourcing activities
•Align with internal customers, stakeholders and understand the business application of the category
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
•Earn the trust of key stakeholders to drive alignment with the business
•Create a category strategy in conjunction with internal customers to ensure there is a comprehensive, unified approach for the category
•Achieve cost saving or value targets appropriate to the category aligned with annual budget processes
•Define and report on key metrics that measure effectiveness of supply and cost savings
•Champion standards and process improvements
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
Candidate must be able to travel, up to 10% if required
A day in the life
Kickoff meeting with project team leads to review status and field issues.
Negotiation strategy , meeting with suppliers , hold supplier QBR (Quarterly Business Review).
Review field concerns \ work to resolve with RME & suppliers
Review progress on strategic sourcing and contract status
About the team
The category manage critical support services required for Amazon’s operational fulfilment and transportation network, these services enable our internal customer, Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME), to minimize MHE downtime hours, loss of productivity and customer experience misses across all business lines
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
2+ years of supply chain experience
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
