Actalent Industrial Engineer in Nashville, Tennessee
Actalent is seeking an Industrial Engineer for a role in Nashville, TN. This role is a hybrid position with some travel. Travel is will only be for 1-3 days at a time and never over the weekends. This role will compensate 1.5x pay for any overtime worked.
Responsibilities:
· Will be responsible for designing layout of material handling equipment such as conveyor belts and other machinery.
· Will be given specific requirements from the facility on what they need accomplished, will be responsible for designing the solution. Can be anything from adding capacity to the site, retrofitting areas for new equipment or helping to rearrange existing equipment within the facility.
· Responsible for figuring out layouts of the site and do scope of work for the project.
· Will be Writing RFPs, working with vendors for site selection and working on engineering design and hand off to execution.
Requirements:
· Mechanical Design of warehouse/plant layout/material handling preferred
· Experience working with vendors (creating RFPs/RDQs)
· Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, electrical, manufacturing)
· Open to some travel
· Project management skills are required, but is not looking for someone with only Project management experience . Must have hands on design experience in a manufacturing setting as well.
