Position Summary

We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer like you to join our amazing team in Nashville!

Our Process Engineers focuses on designing, developing, and implementing new or revised processes. Our Lead Professional position is a recognized subject matter expert in a job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Requires periodic communication and interaction with leadership. What really matters at Bridgestone is providing our teammates with the tools, support and autonomy to ensure you feel fulfilled and have clear direction to reach your goals

Responsibilities

In this role, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Leads large projects or processes of complex scope, with limited oversight from manager.

  • Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals.

  • Assists in the development of operational plan and implements for areas of assigned responsibilities.

  • Identifies continuous improvement/automation activities.

  • Plans sequence of operations and specifies procedures for preparing materials and operating equipment

  • Determines process design by balancing process cost, yield, and material waste considerations

  • Conducts tests throughout all stages of processing to determine control over applicable variables and prevents/solves process problems

  • Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience.
