Position Summary : The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting in all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The Senior Accountant must act with integrity and strictly adhere to all accounting policies and procedures for auditing purposes and to ensure the financial success of the business. This position will assist the District Manager and/or Regional Finance Director with various projects.
Responsibilities :
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for developing and implementing systems for all accounting and finance functions such as payroll, AP/AR, inventory, asset management, and other necessary functions.
This professional prepares all required month-end financial reports and reconciliations for our client.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecast for a high-volume account•
Prepares managerial accounting reports to monitor the performance of areas such as labor cost, direct cost, revenues, expenses, and profit by area of responsibility.
Reporting sales from units into weekly sales report
Complete month-end close process and summarize variances
Complete and submit weekly or monthly invoice to clients
Assist Accounts Receivable team with cash application as needed
Assist in making calls to client concerning past-due accounts receivables
Key in invoices using the Manager's Toolkit/Accounts Payable System
Ensure all invoices are paid on time
Make calls to the unit managers to make sure all invoices for the week have been turned in
Complete wage verification forms
Must be able to produce spreadsheets reflecting sales on a monthly basis
Set up new vendors as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications :
The ideal candidates will have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
2 years experience in a management capacity work environment
Must have had responsibility for a budget of at least $10M•
Extensive understanding of P&L and financial statements is required.
Requires demonstrated strong management and leadership skills.
Good planning and organization skills in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Must have the ability to effectively present information (verbal and written) and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, or others is required.
The ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference is required.
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, ability to quickly adapt, knowledge of technology solutions and implementation of technology solutions are essential for success in this role•
Operations experience helpful.
Requires extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel (advanced user is needed), Word, PowerPoint and Access.

Ability to type proficiently
