Amazon’s Ops Tech Solutions Supply Chain (OTS-SC) plans, sources, makes and delivers IT equipment necessary to empower Amazon’s Worldwide Stores Business. OTS-SC responsibilities include Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Scheduling, Capital planning, Risk management, Sourcing, Order processing, Warehousing, Assembly, Provisioning, Transportation, Repair, Replacement and Disposal of IT equipment. Within OTS-SC, the Inventory and Asset Management team is responsible for delivering resilient, efficient and cost-effective inventory and asset management solutions for a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of IT products that empower Amazon Stores Business.

This role will lead a global team of supply chain professionals to optimize inventory levels, streamline and automate asset management processes, and drive operational excellence. The role will collaborate cross-functionally with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholder groups to deep dive existing process opportunities and develop improved process flows for inventory and asset management. They will strategically identify cost and efficiency improvement opportunities, stand up new processes and develop metrics for measuring success. They support Senior Leadership on business issues, organizational goals, and strategic direction by defining, managing, and delivering upon a set of products and programs to achieve the strategy of the business.

Key job responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute inventory and asset management strategies ensuring alignment with org's vision.

  • Inventory Management: Implement quantitative and qualitative strategies for inventory optimization, setting right controls for replenishment to minimize stock outs and reduce excess inventory.

  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT products, ensuring efficient utilization of assets and minimal write-offs.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, and inventory and asset optimization using data-driven insights.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Identify and work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as Product Management, Field, Engineering, Deployment, Finance, Logistics to develop, align and refine inventory and asset management strategies with organization's vision.

  • Risk Management: Proactively assess program risks and develop contingency plans to achieve business goals.

  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turns, service levels, and cost efficiency, driving accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the capability to articulate clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, drive consensus, and provide clear and concise updates to senior leadership.

  • Program Management: Proven track record in leading and delivering organization-wide initiatives and solutions, demonstrating strong program management skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 5+ years of team management experience

  • 7+ years of cross functional project delivery experience

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.

  • Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Master's degree

  • Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience in cost/benefit analysis of project proposals
