Amazon is looking for an enthusiastic Sr. Program Manager to join the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), Safety Learning and Development (SLeD) team. The SLeD team seeks an experienced, self-motivated Program Manager who excels in a fast-paced environment, and has a solid background in program management to lead global Certified Jobs training programs.

As the Sr. Program Manager, you will drive the build, pilot, and launch of the certified job training program starting in North America and scaling globally. You will play a crucial role in devising strategies, fostering partnerships, and executing initiatives to enhance the program's reach and impact. You will manage the end -to-end standardization and expansion of new learning programs. Your responsibilities will include building and executing to roadmaps, establishing procedure, supporting and understanding stakeholder needs, and program build. This entails serving as the main point of contact for stakeholders in coordinating and managing strategic, cross-functional, and business-critical programs and projects. The ideal candidate excels in crafting large-scale global training program strategies, encompassing training design, roadmaps, gap analyses, financial planning, communication, and launch plans in a dynamic and diverse business environment. Effective communication and program management skills are essential, enabling you to manage multiple, competing priorities and coordinate work across teams.

The assignments are intricate and support business priorities at regional, country, and global levels. This role demands expert influential leadership across all verticals and horizontals, with visible timelines aligned to WHS goals and initiatives. As the Sr. Program Manager, you will oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, from initiation to closure, with the flexibility to adjust priorities as needed. A creative and passionate advocate for stakeholders, the ideal candidate possesses proven analytical capabilities, extensive program experience, meticulous attention to detail, and prioritization and multitasking skills. A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, high flexibility, unwavering commitment, and a knack for overcoming challenges in ambiguous situations is highly desirable.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage the build, pilot, and launch of large-scale WHS global programs

• Design and execute roadmaps, gap analyses, financial planning, and communication and launch plans

• Develop and implement training strategies to increase the program's reach and impact.

• Define success metrics; partner with WHS Business Intelligence to create applicable dashboards.

• Build partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations to promote the adoption of both programs and product.

• Manage stakeholder relationships on behalf of SLeD, including recruiting, legal, WHS Operations Excellence, PXT, and WHS field

• Effectively communicate and manage multiple, competing priorities while coordinating work across teams

• Provide influential leadership across all verticals and horizontals to align timelines with WHS goals and initiatives

• Partner with the broader WHS Field teams across all BUs globally to understand BU needs and implement the WHS Global Certified Jobs training

• Define, track, and monitor progress against success metrics and project plans. Analyze and report on overall project health using key performance indicators and success metrics, and accurately and clearly report on status against program objectives

• Oversee multiple initiatives concurrently from initiation to closure, with the flexibility to adjust priorities as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • Experience managing multiple learning programs, defining program requirements, and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Experience managing the life cycle of a large-scale product or program including build, pilot, launch and improvement

  • Familiarity with safety, learning, and localization requirements

  • Experience prioritizing complex deliverables, understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and run meetings with technical and business leaders

  • Verbal and written English communication skills

  • Experience thinking strategically and executing methodically with an eye for tactical details

  • Successful record of accomplishment working with other teams within the company, using a high degree of influence and a relationship-based approach to achieve results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience working in a complex, multi-national organization

  • Health and safety management experience

  • Experience building processes, project management, and driving automation or standardization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
