Job Summary and Qualifications

The Supervisor of Facilities Management will be responsible for managing all maintenance technicians and providing secondary leadership to the Director and/or Manager. This role supervises completion and continuation of preventive maintenance programs, as well as corrective maintenance on building equipment and grounds.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent training in Engineering/Business Management required

  • Technical/vocational certification preferred

  • At least 5 years in direct hospital or equivalent leadership role preferred

  • Drivers License required

  • Prior management training preferred

What you will do in this role:

  • Direct the activities of assigned personnel and service contractors in the preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.

  • Assist in the coordination of construction activity and the installment of equipment.

  • Respond to calls for emergency repairs, orders supplies and assists in maintaining inventory levels.

  • Assist in training of staff in the operation and repair of equipment.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on hospital equipment according to established procedures and timetables.

  • Perform tests and inspections on various equipment and systems.

  • Assess needs and order spare and replacement parts.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the principles of electricity, i.e. voltage, resistance, current

  • Conduct daily rounds as assigned, log equipment readings, make indicated adjustments and/or create work requests for major repairs.

  • Maintain Environment of Care by following the standard procedures: Life Safety, Infection Control, Universal Precautions.

  • Assure compliance with appropriate regulations.
