Overview
The Discovery Biology Unit at WuXi AppTec's DEL Lab in Massachusetts is at the forefront of drug discovery, utilizing the latest advancements in chemistry, chemical biology, biology, and informatics. As a Discovery Biology Intern, you will be actively involved in research projects focused on DEL (DNA-encoded library) screening and sample processing. Working closely with experts in molecular biology, DEL selection, post selection chemistry you will contribute to groundbreaking research while gaining valuable hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities
• Apply hands-on knowledge and skills to participate in various phases of research and development projects.
• Collaborate with team members to address project requirements and challenges effectively.
• Deliver presentations, ensuring clear communication of results to both peers and leadership.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or master’s degree in biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Experience with bench biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, and SDS-PAGE.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in literature mining and analysis.
• Ability to meet project timelines within realistic expectations.
• Decent presentation, scientific/technical writing, and communication skills.
