Naval Air Systems Command Planner & Estimator (Aircraft Ordnance Systems Mechanic) in Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida

Summary You will serve as a Planner & Estimator in the ?MRO Production Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Responsibilities You will assign aircraft ordnance mechanic tasks to personnel and check work in progress for consistent procedures, methods, and practices. You will read and follow overhaul manuals, aircraft bulletins, local directives, blueprints, wiring, schematics diagrams, charts, or engineering instructions to perform aircraft ordnance system duties. You will interpret blueprints, schematics, airframe, or aircrew changes to complete repairs to aircraft ordnance systems. You will inspect for obvious defective parts of aircraft ordnance systems and related components. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to Provide Production Support Services; Applicant must have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks such as: 1) Analyzing production orders and authorizations to make major alterations to ordnance equipment, engineering specifications, experience records, and production records, 2) Preparing schedules for the planning organization, planning workflow by divisions, and branches, 3) Estimating labor and cost for accomplishment of repairs for crash damage aircraft, 4) Preparing detailed work orders for the accomplishment of repairs, modifications, and rework, and 5) Recommending revision to NAVAIR and FRCSE instructions and participates in the formulation and writing of new policies and procedures.?
