Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of NAVMEDFORLANT PORTSMOUTH VA. Responsibilities You will complete formulations of budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will present and defend budget estimates before authorities. You will review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience performing a variety of fiscal, accounting administrative, and/or financial management duties and responsibilities. - Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving a variety of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding using complex computer programs. - Experience utilizing knowledge of various financial terminology/transactions with the financial process/procedure. - Experience utilizing knowledge of operating financial systems (i.e., Enterprise Resource Planning, Defense Travel System). - Experience researching historical costs, variable costs, and one-time costs, determining impact on total resources and developing recommendations for improvement. - Experience providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
