Bureau of Naval Personnel Financial Management Analyst in Naval Post Graduate School, California

Responsibilities You will analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that support financial management and strategic planning. You will develop, implement, and maintain complex financial models to forecast and report on financial performance and budgetary trends. You will design and prepare detailed financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and relevance of information. You will ensure all financial analyses and reports comply with applicable regulations, policies, and standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and IT, to gather data, validate findings, and implement data-driven solutions. You will identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve data quality and accessibility. You will conduct ad hoc financial analyses as requested by management to support decision-making and strategic initiatives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that support financial management and strategic planning, utilizing systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (2) Developing, implementing, and maintaining complex financial models to forecast and report on financial performance and budgetary trends and (3) Designing and preparing detailed financial reports, dashboards, and presentations in data visualization tool such as Tableau or Power BI for senior management and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance of information. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
