Naval Supply Systems Command FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Naval Support Activity, Pennsylvania

Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will perform or advise on work in any phases or systems of budget administration. You will identify, analyze and resolve a range of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding; formulation of budget estimates for programs in which funding requirements change significantly. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. You will apply analytical reasoning skills for the identification, analysis and conceptualization of budgetary problems and formulate/develop alternative solutions. You will develop, determine and interpret financial management polices, procedures and practices. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing, supervising, or managing administrative work of a fiscal, financial management, accounting or budgetary nature equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as; 1. Analyzing, reconciling or evaluating financial data by applying knowledge of accounting principles and practices. 2. Executing modifications to systems, programs, and/or operations to asses, investigate, or analyze a variety of unusual problems and provide solutions. 3. Performs, develops and advises on work in all phases or systems of budget administration 4. Interpreting the impact of and planning for financial/budgetary and program changes by performing a variety of analytical, technical, and administrative work.
