About you and this role:

As anAccounting Specialist, your role ensures accounting activity recorded within the company’s records and books are accurate and complete. Responsible for budgeting, product costing, recording, reporting, analyzing and communicating functional/business activity results. You will assist the function/business management teams in financial analysis necessary for decision-making.

In this role, you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others. It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team’s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of cost center spending to ensure accuracy and understand cost drivers.

  • Cost center budgeting

  • Product cost estimates (PCE)- ensure correct standard cost by resolving the costing errors and investigate/resolve variances (Monthly & quarterly)

  • Inventory management via cycle counting- coordinate & reconciliation of physical inventory against system inventory as per frequency set by cycle counting indicators.

  • Inventory management via stock take observation- physical stock count & reconciliation of physical v/s system stock

  • Ensure Inventory valuation accuracy in different books like management books, tax books, Statutory books & as per lower of cost or market value principle.

  • Responsible for correctness of cost of sales, Review and identification of intercompany variances and taking corrective actions if any.

  • Leadership – Responsible for the team's initial work process training, on-going education and consistent application and adherence to business rules and work processes

  • Problem Resolution –Lead investigations and provide root cause analysis for work process issues and implement the solution.

  • Lead and mentor a team supply chain cost accountant. Coach and train the junior functional and supply cost accounting team.

  • Responsible for quarter closing books in line with USGAAP and LOCAL GAAP rules.

  • Responsible for cost accounting training and help regional transitions, support Internal and Statutory audit

  • Responsible for Inventory control and cost control.

  • Support functional and business leaders for any cost accounting related queries and decisions.

  • Support Capital and revenue expenditure analysis

  • Responsible for expenses variance analysis and product variance analysis, responsible for COGS analysis

Qualifications:

  • Qualified CMA/CA with 8-10 years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Macro scripting/VBA Code/ Power BI/Power Query and other automation tool

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency with SAP

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed.

  • Able to handle multiple priorities, organized and flexible.

  • People leadership or having prior experience of handling large team.

  • Relocation support is not aligned with this role.
