Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

  • The Accounts Payable Specialist compiles and maintains accounts payable records.

  • Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

  • Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.

  • Process ACH, check, and wire requests.

  • Audit and process credit card bills.

  • Match invoices to checks, obtain all necessary signatures, and distribute checks accordingly.

  • Respond to vendor inquiries.

  • Perform data entry associated with accounts payable.

  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.

  • Assist in month-end closing.

  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices.

  • Assist with other projects as needed.

  • This position description is intended to cover the most significant, ongoing job functions and competency areas.

  • Successful performance in the role will require performing satisfactorily other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of accounts payable experience in a corporate setting.

  • Associates Degree in Accounting.

  • SAP system experience.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Neenah, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

Sitting in an office setting. Hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
