An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available at Shire Neuchâtel Plant (approx. 650 employees) within a world-class Biotech manufacturing environment for an experienced, dynamic and team-player Reliability Engineer to join our Site Engineering team.
Within the Site Engineering Department, the purpose of this role to improve the reliability of equipment & maintenance processes by applying the principles of the Shire Reliability Engineering Program.
Main assignments include:
Determine maintenance strategies & identify/implement opportunities for improvements.
Apply Root Cause Analysis methodologies to improve equipment that support manufacturing operations in a dynamic, fast-paced cGMP, biotechnology environment.
Measure reliability performance and demonstrate success of improvements.
Lead reliability driven actions that require independent and/or collaborative judgment.
Support capital projects as needed.
Proficient computer skills
Understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total productive Maintenance (TPM).
Capacity to apply process improvement and reliability engineering principles, methodologies and tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Lean, SixSigma, DMAIC, FMEA.
Capacity to operate with agility and a learning mindset so that we can accelerate breakthrough innovations.
Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team-based environment.
Organized and detail focused.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Fluent in French and good working knowledge in English.
Education & Experience
Bachelor/Master in Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in maintenance (preventive & predictive strategies) or site engineering, within a biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and quality requirements.
Knowledge in one of following biotechnology equipment: Cell Culture, purification, aseptic filling, packaging, CIP, SIP, HVAC, plant and clean utilities.
Knowledge of CMMS and engineering & maintenance business practices / procedures, Maximo a plus.
