CNC Machinist - New Albany, IN - Career Opportunity
Job Description
Machinists are responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes in a job shop environment.
Responsibilities include setting up tooling, adjusting speeds and feeds, program edits, offsets, changeovers, fixtures, and more.
Machines operated include mills, lathes, and mill turn machines ranging from 3-axis to 5-axis.
You will be cross-trained on a variety of machinery. Duties also involve reading G&M Codes and making necessary edits to the machine, reading blueprints, and checking parts according to blueprints. Run times will vary from a few minutes to a few hours, as this is a job shop environment and not production-based, ensuring you will have new tasks daily.
