Energy Accounting Analyst 100% Remote within OH Experience with Business Objects,power utility / transmissionand analytic software such as SAS preferred.

Job Summary: Exercises the highest level of technical expertise in the performance of duties associated with the retrieval, processing and validation of metered data; coordinate the resolution of suspect metering or telecommunications problems with appropriate personnel; develop and implement load measurement processes; work with trouble customers on an ongoing basis to insure their needs are met; prepare reports and graphs as directed; maintain an expert level of understanding of the workings of RTOs; develop process improvements or tools to assist with daily settlement activities; represent Transmission Settlements within the organizationand in RTO working groups; provide work guidance and oversight on the daily retrieval, transfer, checkout and market submission processes. Essential Job Functions & Tasks: 1) CHECKOUT FOCUS: Oversee and provide support for the daily checkout process. 2) Work with trouble customers on an ongoing basis to insure their needs are met. 3) Detect data errors using a high level view of the data. Provide required reports using in house tools and business objects. 4) Validate and lock down meter data values after month end. 5) Provide good communication of system issues that may impact quality or deadlines. 6) Ensure daily and monthly deadlines are met. Develop processes, procedures, methods or checkouts to improve data quality. 7) Work with IT to build and upgrade tools. Set up accounts and calculations related to Ohio Customer Choice. 8) Act as administrator of Transmission Settlements tools. Maintain Load Models. 9) METER DATA RETRIEVAL FOCUS: On a daily basis use meter reading software including MV-90 xi and other meter reading tools to interrogate data on the AEP Transmission System. 10) Perform validation checks on data and fill in gaps with estimated data. Work with meter technicians to resolve issues in the field. 11) Monitor changes to the Transmission System and take the lead in setting up or adjusting accounts. Provide good communication of system issues that may impact quality or deadlines. 12) Meet daily and monthly deadlines or work with RTOs to extend deadlines when issues occur. Provide monthly reconciliation data. 13) Meet daily and monthly deadlines. Provide billing quality data to wholesale customers and troubleshoot any issues or questions they have. 14) Assist in the set up of new Meters on the Transmission System. 15) Perform statistical analysis using tools such as SAS. Create and maintain processes to transfer or update data to various systems using tools such as SAS. 16) Represent Transmission on issues relating to the maintenance of the MV90 System. Provide support on complex issues. 17) RTO MARKET FOCUS Oversee the daily process to review and submit data to RTOs and provide support to settlement staff. 18) Perform validation checks between AEP internal data, third party data and RTO data to insure that markets settle correctly. 19) Maintain an expert level understanding of RTO markets and market rules. Prepare and publish monthly load reports and provide data for ad hoc requests. 20) Represent Transmission Settlements on RTO working groups. 21) Prepare and maintain Meter Agent Agreements 22) Prepare and provide evidence to Audit Services. 23) Help facilitate bi-lateral settlements between market participants. 24) Work with IT to build and upgrade tools for Transmission Settlements functionality. 25) Provide continuous process improvement to the RTO Submission Process.
