Job Title: Energy Accounting AnalystJob Description
This is a remote position with no travel required, and candidates must reside in a state where AEP does business. There is potential for conversion, but note that AEP does not sponsor. The bill rate is capped at $50.00 for this position. This intermediate-level role involves exercising high technical expertise in retrieving, processing, and validating metered data, coordinating with relevant personnel to resolve metering or telecommunications issues, and developing load measurement processes. The analyst will also work with customers to ensure their needs are met, prepare reports and graphs, maintain an expert understanding of RTOs, develop process improvements, and represent Transmission Settlements within AEP and RTO working groups.
Hard Skills
Meter data retrieval and validation
Using meter reading software such as MV-90 xi
Performing statistical analysis with tools like SAS
Developing processes and tools for data quality improvement
Working with IT to build and upgrade tools
Understanding RTO markets and market rules
Preparing and publishing load reports
Providing billing quality data to wholesale customers

Work Site
This is a fully remote position.
Work Environment
Remote work environment with no travel required. The role involves close coordination with IT and other relevant personnel to resolve issues and improve processes. Regular interaction with customers and RTO working groups is also expected.
