Job Description: Accounting Clerk A/P & A/R
Job Overview:
The primary function of the Accounting Clerk is to process accounts payable and accounts receivable. This is a full-time position and reports to the Assistant Controller. This is a Non-Exempt position.
Essential Job Functions:
Manual check entry and posting in system
Assist with month-end closing
Miscellaneous billing as necessary
Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies
Good interpersonal skills
Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work
Use good reasoning and organizational skills.
Stand/sit for several hours in a row.
Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous conferences.
Ability to effectively perform responsibilities under a high level of stress and frequent interruptions
Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Perform any duties as may be assigned
Daily and end of month reconciling of credit card report
Order processing when necessary
Qualifications / Experience / Education:
Extremely efficient and accurate with data entry, Proficient in MS applications
Demonstrate patience when communicating with customers
Knowledge of customer services ethics, principles and procedures
Proficiency in administrative and documentation procedures
Versatile and willing to adapt to a situation
Effective time management.
Communicate well through emails, over the phone, or face to face
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
High school diploma with a minimum of 2 years customer service OR a Bachelor’s degree
Pass pre-employment drug screen and 7-year background check
