Description We are offering a contract opportunity for an organized and meticulous Bookkeeper in New Bedford, Massachusetts. In this role, you will work closely with our team to manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data entry for balance sheets and profit and loss statements. This position will require proficiency in QuickBooks Online and will involve working alongside the mill manager and office clerk in our commercial building/leasing business.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the recording of financial transactions within our organization
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
• Perform data entry tasks for balance sheets and profit and loss statements
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for various bookkeeping tasks
• Work alongside the mill manager and office clerk to ensure smooth financial operations
• Reconciliation of accounts and bank statements
• Assist in the month-end close process
• Process payroll for employees
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks
• Manage the financial transactions of 90+ tenants paying rent. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Extensive knowledge of Bookkeeping practices
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in handling Month End Close activities
• Ability to manage Payroll duties
• Familiarity with QuickBooks software
