Kennedy-Donovan Center K'iche' Interpreter (Part-Time) in New Bedford, Massachusetts

About the Role:
KDC is seeking a part-time, in-person K'iche' Interpreter who will assist Early Intervention Specialists by providing written and verbal interpretation services. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English. KDC’s concept of being a cultural liaison exemplifies this principle by helping bridge the gap between service providers and families.
Salary: $36.75/hour
Schedule: 3-10 hours per week based on family needs
We are looking for people who have:
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Bilingual in K'iche' and English, required.
Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle, required.
In this role, you’ll get to:
Provide translating/interpreting services for Early Intervention Specialists and families during home visits, center-based visits, group meetings and remote when necessary
Translate written materials such as parent letters, newsletters, narrative reports, IFSPs, and notes
Assist Early Intervention Specialists during home visits
Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team approach to service provision
Maintain compliance with all Kennedy Donovan Center policies and procedures/DPH regulations and requirements
