Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services. 2. Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties. 3. Make repairs or adjustments to keep equipment in production. 4. Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments to involve dismantling, inspection, machining or replacement of purchased parts. 5. Perform skilled operations such as filing and aligning bearings, and shafts; adjust feed and limit mechanisms. 6. Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment, which may involve dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations. 7. Perform maintenance on the buildings, facilities, and the grounds. 8. Assist in determining the nature and scope of forthcoming projects and the requirements for completion. 9. Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units. 10. Maintain required maintenance logs and files. 11. Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements. 12. Education and/or Experience Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical technology preferred. Experience: Previous 3-5 years\' experience as an industrial maintenance technician, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment. Skills: Strong mechanical, analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Communication Skills Effective oral and written communication are essential, as are interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required. Must have effective PC skills to include MS Office software such as Excel and Word. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and with frequent, established deadlines is required. Organizational and analytical skills are required. The ability to work effectively with diverse populations is required.
