Systems and Software Delivery Lead - Project Manager (Indefinite US Work Authorization Required)

Job Responsibilities:

Servant Leader responsible for guiding the flow of technical value for systems and software development team(s) from conception to delivery to the customer. Facilitate team planning, requirements generation, process improvement, group problem solving, and the software release process. Monitor software releases and key metrics, coordinate dependencies, manage organizational tools, and communicate to the larger product development organization. This position works under general supervision and may report to a group lead, director, or chief engineer.

  • Project Planning and Technical Review – Conduct cadence reviews to refine Engineering short and mid-term planning. Organize team planning content for Software Releases. Resolve resourcing, dependency, and technical constraints. Coordinate facilities and resources for group level planning. Manage quarterly cadence planning process for the larger Product Development organization.

  • Product and Technology Champion – Assist team(s) in establishing scope and objectives by applying stakeholder input. Facilitate the distillation of higher-level objectives into actionable tasks for team members. Utilize planning data to determine resource optimization for team and group decisions. Guide Product Software Releases through the Deployment Pipeline. Interface with external groups as the representative of the team(s), providing updates, release notes, and resolving concerns.

  • Leadership and Communication – Identify and resolve obstacles at the group level. Develop and refine work related processes that support team effectiveness. Manage group tools around work content, processes, and metrics. Provide leadership with a broader perspective that helps inform decisions at the group level through data analysis. Communicate with key stakeholders as the owner of team Software Releases. Facilitate relevant organizational reviews, providing data related to Software Releases and Software Planning.

  • Organizational Development – Enhance personal understanding and aptitude of relevant techniques and practices; communicate this knowledge with others. Serve as a mentor to junior delivery leads. Strive for the constant improvement of the product development organization. Participate in development work in a manner that assists teams in overcoming obstacles to completing key objectives. Perform other duties as assigned.

Hybrid Remote Work: Crown offers hybrid remote work for this position. A reasonable commute is necessary since mostly onsite work is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Systems, or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field

  • Good organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage projects for cross-functional teams

  • Ability to travel occasionally with overnight stays (0-5%)

  • Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of related experience (Salary will be commensurate with experience)

  • A working knowledge of the product series in lift truck design, industrial design, and ergonomics

  • Knowledgeable about scaled agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures

  • Experience working in an agile software environment and new product development

  • Scaled Agile Product Manager, Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, or Product Owner certified
