Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator II for the Division of Enrollment Management.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Represents Rutgers at on-campus, off-campus and virtual events.
  • Conducts information sessions, makes presentations, and conducts counseling sessions at high schools, colleges and other facilities to meet students, families and school/college personnel for the purpose of recruiting and enrolling students.
  • Hosts virtual recruitment webinars.
  • Communicates and develops relationships with high school and university personnel, internal Rutgers academic and administrative units, alumni, etc., in coordinating recruitment activities
  • Assists with the coordination, administration and implementation of recruitment/enrollment events or programs and other processes.
  • Assists with the development of event and program marketing materials and other communications for target audiences.
  • Assists and supports on other projects as needed.
  • Prepares reports, reviews (with limits) applicant data, creates and maintains databases, conducts web research, organizes mailings or emailing's, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • A bachelor's degree.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver's license would be required for this position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Must demonstrate solid judgment, organizational skills, planning, coordination, time management, multi-tasking and communication skills.
  • Individual will be motivated and imaginative with the ability to handle considerable and varied responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must work well independently and on a team and represent the university knowledgeably, articulately and enthusiastically with an effective professional demeanor.
  • Automobile drivers license and passport.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a higher education setting.
  • Experience working with diverse populations of students, staff and faculty.
Equipment Utilized
  • This position should be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., and have general computer literacy.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • This position may require some evenings and/or weekends.
