| Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Visiting Researcher for the Radiation Oncology/RadCaBio division of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, under the supervision of Dr. Bing Xia.The primary responsibilities of the scholar are: to investigate the regulation of DNA repair and its influence on tumor response to treatment, to elucidate the mechanism by which loss or inhibition of BRCA1/2 and EHMT1/2 protein triggers an immune response, and to test novel combination therapies for the treatment of tripe negative breast cancer using mouse models. Ideal candidates should have a PhD or MD degree with trainings in molecular & cell biology, cancer biology, or other relevant fields, with effective communication skills in oral and written English and competence in common computer applications, and have a background in relevant research as evidenced by a publication record consistent with the career level. Must be competent in basic molecular and cell biology techniques, and basic bio-statistical tools. Prior experience in DNA repair, cancer research, and animal models are desirable but not required.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
