Aerotek Construction Material Tester/CMT in New Carlisle, Indiana
Description:
This individual will be in the field doing construction material testing covering central Indiana business. The material they will be testing will primarily be concrete testing and soil compaction, but could also be testing asphalt(less than 10% of the time). The individuals interaction will be with the GC, subcontractors and other team members/management.
Concrete Tester
Our contractor will take concrete samples randomly from the concrete truck on a commercial construction site.
From there he/she will put the samples in a cylinder, do their onsite testing(they will be trained on all testing required) and label to be tested later at their lab.
Compaction:
The contractor will use a nuclear density machine(They will be trained on this) to test the compaction % of the soil.
Individual must be aware of the specifications for that project and what the % has to be. Specifications are construction guidelines that have to be followed per project.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Construction/Outside Experience 1-2+ years
-Must be able to lift 50+ lbs independently
-Nice to have ACI certification
