The ASSA ABLOY Architectural Hardware Group Decorative Hardware Project Manager works with our Decorative Hardware Program Manager and Engineering team to coordinate tasks related to product planning, program design and rollout, of our “deco” hardware program. This is a fast growing and important part of our product portfolio and requires an organized, passionate, and driven individual
Being a strong collaborator is critical for success in this position as working across many business segments and groups is required including operations, engineering, industrial design, marketing, and business development for three business units-

Access & Egress Hardware
This role will lead cross-enterprise and customer specific programs that include the rollout of new decorative finishes and large-scale channel initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates the work of cross-functional and multi-location project teams to accomplish all project tasks and milestones
Assists the program manager in defining the project schedules and scope while balancing this with timely and regular value deliveries and organizing and leading working and project status meetings
Creates project schedules, tracks progress, and drives project teams to obtain schedule milestones
Holds project pulse meetings to ensure timely communication within the project team and the rapid completion of key tasks
Communicates project analytics, status, plans and risk management strategies to the senior leadership team
Documents project status utilizing MS Project, SharePoint & LEAN NPD Tools
Manages 10+ small projects in various stages at any time.
Educational Requirements, Skills and Abilities:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree
2+ years managing large complex cross-functional projects
3-5 Years of Engineering Experience
Experience using Trello, Jira and Confluence project collaboration and visual project management boards
Strong Presentation, Organizational & Communications Skills
Familiarity with SolidWorks Mechanical CAD Modeling Software
Ability to Navigate MRP systems (ie. JD Edwards) to Extract Product Cost
Proficient with MS Office Suite including MS Project, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
Ability to Work Effectively in a Cross-Functional Team in a Fast-Paced Environment
Work Requirements:
Position will be based equally in New Haven, CT and Berlin, CT depending on needs
Up to 15% travel outside of CT
